MTG Buylist Terms & Conditions
These Buylist Terms & Conditions explain how to sell Magic: The Gathering cards to Scotsman26777. Please read them before submitting or sending cards. They apply to buylist submissions and offers agreed with us; any individually agreed collection purchase may have additional written arrangements.
1. Minimum buylist value
The minimum buylist submission is £20 in quoted cash value before any store-credit bonus. If inspection reduces a submission below this amount, we'll contact you to agree how to proceed rather than automatically reject or deduct money.
2. Cash and store credit
Where a buylist offer is eligible for store credit, you can choose between the final accepted cash valuation and store credit worth 20% more. For example, a final accepted cash valuation of £100 provides the option of £120 in store credit for Scotsman26777.com.
The bonus is calculated only on the final valuation agreed after verification, not on the original estimated submission if quantities or grades change. Please confirm your preferred payment option before the purchase is completed. Store credit is for eligible purchases from Scotsman26777 and is not a cash withdrawal method.
3. Submitting and approving a buylist
- Please list the correct card, edition or set, quantity, language, finish (including foil or special treatments), and condition.
- All submissions require our review. A submitted list or automated estimate is not an unconditional commitment to purchase every card.
- Do not post any cards until we have approved the submission and provided the shipping instructions.
- Only send cards included in the approved submission. Contact us beforehand if you want to add or remove anything.
- For exceptionally large collections, graded cards, misprints or unusual items, please contact us first; we may agree separate arrangements.
4. Condition and authenticity
Unless another grade is explicitly selected and approved, quoted buylist prices assume Near Mint cards. We check received cards for condition, authenticity, correct printing, language, finish and quantity. Use our MTG Card Condition Guide to help assess your cards before submission.
Foil scratches, whitening, dents, creases, water damage, inked edges, signatures and alterations should be disclosed. We do not purchase counterfeit or proxy cards as genuine Magic cards. An initial estimate may change if the cards received do not match the approved information.
5. Keep cards in buylist order
IMPORTANT: Cards must be arranged in exactly the same order as they appear on your approved buylist. Keep them facing the same direction. This makes it possible to check your cards accurately and process your payment promptly.
Unsorted or incorrectly arranged cards may take longer to check. We do not automatically apply a sorting penalty. If a submission cannot reasonably be checked as received, we'll contact you to discuss how to proceed.
6. Packaging
- Use secure, sturdy packaging that keeps cards dry and prevents movement.
- Do not put rubber bands, paper clips or adhesive tape directly on cards.
- Protect higher-value cards individually using suitable sleeves or rigid holders. Keep the approved submission order clear.
- Include a printed buylist or a note showing your name, email address and submission reference.
- If several buylists travel in one parcel, separate and label each submission.
7. Posting deadline and delivery
Please dispatch the approved cards within 7 calendar days of our approval email. If you need more time, contact us before posting. Late arrivals or submissions sent outside the agreed arrangements may need to be reviewed and repriced.
Unless agreed otherwise in writing, sellers pay the cost of shipping cards to us. We recommend a tracked delivery service with compensation appropriate for the contents, and keeping proof of postage. You're responsible for packaging and selecting the postal service; any transit issues should be raised promptly with us and the carrier so they can be investigated.
The correct sending address is provided in your buylist approval email. Please don't post cards to an address you haven't confirmed with us.
8. Inspection times
We aim to inspect and grade submissions within 3 working days of receipt. Large, complex or unusually high-volume submissions may take longer. We'll keep you informed if there is a significant delay.
Receipt and initial approval do not themselves confirm the final purchase price. Once checked, we'll either confirm the valuation or explain any differences.
9. Revised offers
If there is a discrepancy in condition, printing, language, finish, authenticity or quantity, we'll explain the proposed changes to the valuation. You can accept the revised offer or ask about returning affected cards. We will not treat silence as acceptance of a reduced offer.
No payment is finalized for cards whose revised valuation is still being discussed. If we cannot agree, we'll work with you to arrange their return.
10. Returns and rejected cards
If you decline a revised offer because the cards differ from the approved description, you will generally need to pay the actual cost of suitable tracked return postage; we'll explain the cost before returning the cards. If the return is needed because Scotsman26777 made an error, we will cover reasonable return postage.
We will contact you about rejected, unrequested or disputed cards and will not automatically dispose of them. Any additional arrangement for damaged or suspicious cards will be discussed with you.
11. Completion and payment
After inspection, we will confirm the accepted valuation and your chosen payment option. Cash payment or store credit is arranged once the final offer has been agreed and the transaction is ready for completion. We'll provide the relevant instructions and confirmation; no card is treated as purchased merely because you've sent it for inspection.
12. What we may decline
We may decline cards that do not match the approved submission; are counterfeit, proxies or unapproved reproductions; have serious undisclosed damage or alterations; or are not suitable for our current stock requirements. We may also ask for evidence that a seller owns the cards or is entitled to sell them.
Specialist items and entire collections may be assessed individually rather than through standard buylist pricing.
13. Questions and special arrangements
Please contact Scotsman26777 before sending cards if you have any questions, need to change an approved submission, or wish to discuss unusual cards or a large collection.
These terms are intended to make the process clear and fair. Nothing here limits rights or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded. Any different arrangements expressly agreed with you in writing will be confirmed as part of your offer.
